Writing often carries with it the weight of a long list of learned rules and memories of late-night procrastination stress. This series offers a new perspective, writing as a form of soul care. Through the use of visual arts, music, and a variety of contemplative prayer, we will peel back layers and welcome to the page whatever it is God longs to reveal from within. This journey is unique to each participant. The gatherings will offer gentle guidance along with quiet times of reflection, and the freedom to explore ways that best fit where we are in the moment. The atmosphere of this experience is best described in the poem, “Welcome Home”:

The brokenness heartache unknowing silence clarity and moments of celebration all have their place and are welcome without interruption or scrutinization. Held in God’s warm embrace weaving together a love language tenderly aligned with the rhythm of the soul that is meant to hear it. Welcome home.
