Poem & Prayer

of the Week

Creator of Life,

My heart is overflowing with an abundance of gratitude for the sweet gift of life with You. I’m amazed at how the smallest of details matter to You. That even the tiniest flicker in my heart or fleeting thought in my mind never escape You. I’m bewildered by the fact that each tear that falls, whether it’s filled with sorrow, joy, or sometimes both, is gathered up and tended to as though it is all that matters. You’ve reminded me that You are a God who is personal and not preferential. You gaze upon every life that You’ve created with a love that far outstretches the capability of my understanding. There are no words grand enough to capture it all, so today I simply say thank you and I love You. Amen.♥️

Grace Abounds is a journey through the waiting. Each page is the cry of a heart wanting to surrender to God's love, but struggling to navigate unfamiliar territory and unanswered prayers. An invitation is offered to explore, without judgment, what arises as one sits with the poetry and photos. Welcome, may your soul feel seen and your heart be held tenderly as your story unfolds.

It is in the unknown circumstances around us that we are gifted the opportunity to be known by our loving Creator. These poems hold the words and feelings that emerged out of my own journey in leaving a path I knew God had brought me to, in order to be open to what was unfolding next. This threshold of saying goodbye to what was, before greeting what comes next, is a sacred space that yearns to be tended to with gentleness and care. I pray these poems provide an anchor in the presence of what is, here in the unknown.

Unfolding Silence is a journey within, noticing what years spent in quiet before the Lord has birthed. Each poem is a praise and recognition of what the moments, hours, days, and years in the presence of God formed. You are invited to open your hands and your heart before the Creator, to gently receive whatever is offered as a gift into what the moments of your life have birthed and are currently forming. Travel with grace my friend and allow the Spirit to wash over you.
