of the Week
Jesus,
Today, I sit at the cross. I imagine you beside me. It’s easy for my eyes to wander, to get distracted by the things that pass by. Then my gaze meets Yours and the whole of my body releases because in that single glance, You know. I fall into Your embrace, allowing Your arms to envelope me, feeling the ease of knowing that here, I don’t need to make sense of it all. No words are necessary. As we stare at the cross together, I feel Your patience in allowing me to take in only what I am able to in this moment. This love, Your love, it overwhelms me. It brings me to tears, You know. I carry Your knowing through the week with me and anytime I begin to feel that pull away from you, I come back to this place, sitting at the cross, enveloped in Your embrace. You know…Amen. ♥️

This threshold of saying goodbye to what was, before greeting what comes next, is a sacred space that yearns to be tended to with gentleness and care. I pray these poems provide an anchor in the presence of what is, here in the unknown.
Unfolding Silence is a journey within, noticing what years spent in quiet before the Lord has birthed. Each poem is a praise and recognition of what the moments, hours, days, and years in the presence of God formed. You are invited to open your hands and your heart before the Creator, to gently receive whatever is offered as a gift into what the moments of your life have birthed and are currently forming. Travel with grace my friend and allow the Spirit to wash over you.
