Great Listener,

You never cease to be present and open to what I have to say. Today, I pray that You teach me to do the same. You’ve designed me to be in this world of wonder and You long to reveal Yourself through moments that I so easily brush past. You remind me again and again, as One who dearly loves me, that my soul holds a vastness that cannot be contained. Break open the ear of my heart to hear from You. Crumble the finite box I’ve put You in. I sit open before You today, desiring to peel back another layer of who You are. Let the melody of Your voice ring louder than the distractions that desire to pull me away. In Your presence is the sweetest song, let that be the soundtrack that guides my week. In Your glorious name I pray, Amen. ♥️

These poems hold the words and feelings that emerged out of my own journey in leaving a path I knew God had brought me to, in order to be open to what was unfolding next. This threshold of saying goodbye to what was, before greeting what comes next, is a sacred space that yearns to be tended to with gentleness and care. I pray these poems provide an anchor in the presence of what is, here in the unknown.

Unfolding Silence is a journey within, noticing what years spent in quiet before the Lord has birthed. Each poem is a praise and recognition of what the moments, hours, days, and years in the presence of God formed. You are invited to open your hands and your heart before the Creator, to gently receive whatever is offered as a gift into what the moments of your life have birthed and are currently forming. Travel with grace my friend and allow the Spirit to wash over you.
